Over the past 15 years developing the CSU programme, we’ve built a strong culture and a thriving platform for Norfolk schools to experience and compete in County Schools rugby. As a result, Norfolk CSU is now recognised as one of the leading school’s rugby bodies in the country, and we’re proud to be supporting the RFU in helping other regions develop their own CSUs.
The introduction of the SRM (Schools Rugby Manager) role marks an exciting step forward, enabling us to grow schools’ rugby across Norfolk even further. We’re delighted to welcome Dean to our team of School Rugby Managers (SRMs). The network of SRMs is driving our goal to introduce 5,000 more state primary and secondary schools to rugby by 2027 and it’s fantastic to have someone of Dean’s calibre and with his connections to do this in Norfolk. Dean is one of 60 SRMs in place nationally, and he’ll build on the great foundations laid by Niall last season to ensure rugby becomes embedded in more schools and creating a pipeline into local clubs.” Chris Sigsworth RFU Schools and Colleges manager.
We are thrilled to have Dean Keats taking this rugby leadership role in Norfolk. It is great for us as a school to be able to work so closely with the RFU and to be at the forefront of rugby development in Norfolk and nationally.
