In front of a large crowd at Wymondham RFC in the opening fixture of this seasons Eastern Counties Tri Nations Cup against Suffolk, Norfolk’s Senior men produced a fine display of running rugby to emerge winners.
Prior to kick off, a minute’s applause was held in memory of Wymondham RFC and Norfolk rugby stalwart John MacKay, who sadly passed away at the weekend and it is befitting that the lads produced an impressive performance that John would have been proud of. A massive thank you also to Cambridgeshire who contributed to an entertaining game of rugby that was played in great spirit. The team now move onto the next game against Suffolk which is being played on the 12th March at Bury St Edmunds RFC, where a win would secure them the Tri Nations Cup!
